The expedition cruise company has made its voyages on an all-inclusive basis
Expedition cruise line HX is making it even easier to explore the world. That's why they're changing their trips to all-inclusive travel.
Starting with trips to Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands in October, the cruise line, formerly known as Hurtigruten Expeditions, will include everything from daily excursions and activities to gratuities, beverages (such as wine, beer, and cocktails), and more. Then, in November, HX will extend the all-inclusive offer to all of its sailings around the world, travelandleisure.com reports.
"We want our guests to be curious travelers when they are with us. By making tasks as simple as possible, they can focus on exploring remote corners of the world and learning from our team of experts. We believe that adventures should be all-inclusive, so our daily expeditions, talks, and access to the science center are all free of charge, as well as delicious food and drink," said Alex Delamere-White, HX's Chief Commercial Officer.
In addition to other benefits, guests will also not have to pay extra for Wi-Fi, professional photography, and access to the ship's sauna, hot tubs, and fitness room.
Once rolled out, the all-inclusive offer will be standard on all HX cruises. Delamere-White said the change was made in "direct response to feedback from guests and partners."
In general, HX voyages are led by expedition teams and have access to scientists on board to gain a unique perspective on the destinations they visit. The company sails to destinations all over the world, from Alaska and Antarctica to Greenland, the British Isles, Norway, and beyond.
