Around 40 employees working in the control rooms of Abellio buses in London have announced a six-day strike that began on January 26. Other dates for the boycott are February 2, 9, 16, and 23.
The strike will affect routes 24, 27, 111, 156, 159, 267, 285, 322, 344, 345, 415, 490, 969, H20, H25, H26, R68, R70. According to London News Online, the employees working in the control rooms are demanding a pay rise.
The strikers claim that the five percent increase offered by the company is a "significant real-world pay cut."
According to the Unite union, the workers are already earning about £10,000 a year less than similar staff at other bus companies.
