Ride the hare: a cheeky squirrel catches a train for a free ride and a treat
There are times when strange passengers board trains in London. Recently, one small creature dodged the high prices of London transportation by getting a free ride to the next stop.
The cheeky squirrel hopped on the train, stopped at one stop, and then jumped off, delighting and frightening passengers. The little squirrel ran away before the doors closed, seeing food on the floor. This was reported by mylondon.news.
Kim, 28, from London, who runs a YouTube channel called Thetravellingsurrogate, took a picture of the squirrel when she saw it on her way to work. She said: "At first I thought it was a huge rat, but I soon realized it was a cute squirrel."
The animal hopped on a C2C flight to Grays in Essex and sat down next to the passengers. When the squirrel was getting off the train, Kim made sure it could get off safely. "I've never seen anything like it on a train before. The poor thing was running around the carriage, on the seats, climbing the windows. When the squirrel got off, the people waiting to board stood aside. One guy looked scared when the squirrel flew past him," Kim says.
This is not the first animal to use transportation in London. There are many other funny stories with "unusual" passengers.
