Rating of passports that strengthened their potential in 2024
The British consulting agency Henley & Partners has compiled a new global ranking of world passports. The Henley Passport Index is based on special data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), covering 199 passports and 227 global tourist destinations.
In addition, this rating takes into account the information that has been accumulated by the agency over the past 19 years. This was reported by Times Now.
According to the Henley Passport Index, the strongest passport in 2024 was the French passport, which provides French citizens with visa-free access to 194 countries. The list of the world's most powerful passports also includes such countries as Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain.
It is noted that in 2006, foreign travellers could visit only 58 countries on average. However, by 2024, this figure had increased to 111 countries.
