Polonyny Runa: The view from the top of the Carpathians was shown online. Video
A 360-degree video showing the picturesque landscapes of the Carpathians has been posted online. The video was posted on the Polonyna Runa Zakarpattia Facebook page.
Polonyna Runa is one of the most famous and beautiful mountain plains in the Ukrainian Carpathians. The Voice of the Carpathians reports that Polonyna Runa is the largest mountain meadow in the Carpathians, which stretches for almost 15 km.
It is noted that Polonyna Runa is located within the Perechyn and Velykyi Bereznyi districts of Transcarpathia. Its highest point is Mount Runa (1,482 m). It has a huge almost flat top, which is great for observing nature and picturesque views of the Carpathians.
Here you can see Mount Runa-Plai (1,227 m) and Mount Menchul (1,998 m), foxes on the slopes, and clear lakes.
The Voice of the Carpathians notes that until recently there were 6 mountains in Ukraine with a height of 2,000 metres and higher. However, local activists thought that 6 was inferior to the lucky number 7, and so in 2017, local volunteers artificially increased Mount Menchul by 2.5 metres, making it 7 on the list.
