Passengers of an Alaska Airlines flight filed a lawsuit after a window blew out during the flight
Three passengers aboard an Alaska Airlines flight, whose window exploded during the flight, have filed a $1 billion lawsuit against the airline.
Amanda Strickland and her boyfriend, Kyle Rinker, were flying to Ontario, California, on January 5 when the incident occurred right next to them. They, along with a third individual, are now seeking a significant payout from Alaska Airlines and Boeing for their "traumatic experience," as reported by the Daily Star.
A Portland couple states that their lives have changed dramatically since they flew on Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 earlier this year. Mrs. Strickland said: "I don't think there's been a day that we haven't thought about it."
The couple was sitting next to a 15-year-old boy who was nearly panicked when the doors flew open and strong winds hit the plane.
They described how it was so cold and noisy in the sky that they couldn't hear anything and simply hugged each other as they waited for the plane to land.
As TravelWise reported, lightning struck an Air Canada passenger plane with 450 people on board.
