Orlando International Airport is the third worst airport in the US for spring break
According to aGamble.com, Orlando International Airport was the third worst airport in the United States for spring break travel. The criteria were based on the US Bureau of Transportation's data for March and April on flight departures.
They found that 1.52% of flights during these months were canceled and about 31% were delayed. In general, this means that almost a third of MCO flights during spring break have some kind of disruption. This was reported by fox35orlando.com.
Florida as a whole has three of the 10 worst airports, according to their list. MCO is ranked third, Miami International Airport is 6th, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is first.
aGamble.com found that almost 40% of flights in March and April at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport were delayed or canceled.
Pittsburgh International Airport, on the other hand, received the highest scores. They found that almost 84% of flights during spring break departed on time.
