Marriott International, Inc. (Nasdaq: MAR) has announced its strategic plans to extend the reach of the Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy™ brand, solidifying its presence in the United States, Italy, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This expansion follows the recent inauguration of Marriott's pioneer Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy property, Casa Costera, Isla Verde Beach, located in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The brand offers an enticing proposition for both residential and hotel developers, presenting opportunities for new constructions and conversions. Oberg highlighted the evolving travel preferences of guests, emphasizing the demand for distinctive and locally inspired solutions catering to longer-stay needs. For further details, visit the company website.

The Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy concept ensures guests enjoy an independent stay with spacious living areas and sophisticated, locally influenced designs. These premium and luxury apartment-style accommodations, located in prime spots, guarantee private bedrooms, separate living rooms, full kitchens, and in-unit laundry facilities, creating a homely atmosphere irrespective of the length of stay.

From an owner's perspective, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy opens unique avenues for residential and hotel developers, allowing them to convert existing structures, embark on new constructions, or integrate within multi-use properties. Current Marriott owners, franchisees, and multi-family residential developers can leverage the brand's trusted name and award-winning loyalty program, Marriott Bonvoy®, adding value to each project.

With signed agreements in key locations like Detroit and St. Louis in the United States, Courmayeur in Italy, and NEOM in Saudi Arabia, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy is set to expand its global footprint through 2024 and beyond.

United States

Marriott has inked an agreement with Roxbury Group for an Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy in Detroit, Michigan. Set to open in Q3 2024, the property, a conversion of The Plaza Apartments in Midtown Detroit, will offer approximately 92 units with a 500-square-foot fitness center and two restaurant outlets.

Another exciting project involves a collaboration with Midas Hospitality for an Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy in St. Louis, Missouri. This 50-unit property will be co-located with a new Sheraton Hotel, boasting a historic design that reflects the city's rich history while providing modern comforts.

Italy

In Courmayeur, Aosta Valley, Italy, Marriott has partnered with Castello Sgr to unveil Le Géant, an Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy property featuring 47 units. Each unit is designed to offer travelers spacious living spaces with locally inspired designs for a unique and refreshing stay.

NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Marriott has signed an agreement with NEOM to bring Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy to Sindalah, a luxury island destination on the northwest coast of Saudi Arabia. With 218 units, including studios and one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, the property promises a blend of residential amenities, a gym, and a swimming pool, catering to travelers seeking more space.
