Lufthansa Introduces Culinary Delights in Business Class
Lufthansa is enhancing the onboard experience for Business Class passengers on long-haul flights with a series of culinary upgrades, celebrating German bread culture and introducing a bespoke aperitif. Heiko Reitz, Chief Commercial Officer at Lufthansa Airlines, emphasizes the airline's commitment to elevating passenger experience through high-quality dining options and partnerships with esteemed brands.
A standout feature is the exclusive array of breads created by World Baker of the Year 2022, Axel Schmitt. Reflecting Germany's rich baking heritage, these breads are made daily without additives and served with premium butter and olive oil. The selection will change quarterly, offering passengers a taste of Germany's 3,000 bread varieties, recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The new Avionic Apéritif, crafted in collaboration with Ziegler Distillery and renowned bartender Sven Riebel, offers a refreshing start to the flight. Based on peach notes and wild meadow herbs, this bespoke drink complements the gourmet experience.
Lufthansa has also introduced a vegetarian amuse-bouche, enhancing the menu diversity from the outset of the meal service. The airline continues to innovate its snack offerings based on flight length and time, providing fresh and appealing options throughout the journey.
Concluding the flight, passengers will receive an exclusive Lindt chocolate box starting in June, adding a sweet farewell to their travel experience.
These enhancements in Lufthansa’s Business Class not only spotlight German culinary culture but also cater to the evolving tastes of global travelers, ensuring a memorable and comfortable journey.
