Japanese McDonald's surprised visitors with innovative toilet solutions
Japan reaffirms its reputation as one of the world's leading technological countries. Recently, visitors to Japanese McDonald's restaurants shared fascinating videos showcasing incredible technological innovations.
A video filmed in a McDonald's restroom was posted online, where visitors were amazed by the system implemented near the sink. When people approach to wash their hands, they notice an unusual hole next to the sink, and after reading the instructions, they are surprised by its purpose, as reported by JapanToday.
A new feature is offered for visitors - the opportunity to wash their smartphones. Now in Japanese McDonald's, you can clean not only your hands but also your smartphone.
As depicted in a video circulating on the web, Japan has installed sink systems equipped with a slot specifically designed to "wash" your smartphone. This system is called WOSH and was developed by the Japanese company WOTA.
WOSH is a stable hand-washing stand that, in conjunction with a reusable water-based sink, utilizes a hydrological cycle system and deep ultraviolet light to disinfect your smartphone. WOTA claims that within just 30 seconds, the WOSH achieves a 99.9% sterilization rate for your phone, allowing you to clean your phone while washing your hands.
It is emphasized that this is indeed a valuable device that can contribute to hygiene. While WOSH can be installed anywhere, many were surprised to see such a "futuristic" feature in a McDonald's restroom, prompting impressed comments about the new technology:
"I've never seen anything like this before! Just seeing it makes me want to place my phone inside."
"Sterilizing smartphones... wow, considering I don't usually clean mine at home, this is a great idea."
"Am I the only one excited to watch a smartphone being sanitized?"
"It's making me realize how frequently I touch my phone."
