In New York, pro-Palestinian activists disrupted two airports
A large-scale pro-Palestinian car rally created traffic jams on the road to JFK Airport in New York City just after the New Year's Eve celebrations. It all started with a few cars driving up to the entrance with Palestinian flags.
Earlier, the city's police had warned of possible protests over the holidays in connection with the war in Israel. According to NBC New York, passengers were asked to take into account the heavy traffic and arrive early for their flights.
"The Port Authority, in coordination with our local, state and federal partners, has taken security measures to ensure the smooth operation of JFK Airport," assured Port Authority spokesman Seth Steina.
JFK was not the only airport to be affected by Palestinian protesters. After standing in one place, some of them went to LaGuardia Airport via the GCP on 27th Avenue.
The caravan of cars blocked at least two of the three lanes, causing traffic delays.
As you know, the first days of January are the last busy days of the winter season. Usually at this time, most people return home after a loud celebration in Times Square.
