In It Together: a music festival that brought together all of Wales
In It Together was first held in 2022 on the initiative of Adam Gore and Mark Hopkins, along with the large Escape Records collective, at Old Park Farm in Margam, Port Talbot. This ambitious endeavor to unite all generations has evolved into a full-fledged major electronic music festival in Wales.
Last year, the festival returned to the city with 90% of the tickets sold out. WalesOnline explained why the festival was so successful and when In It Together is scheduled to take place in 2024.
According to Daisy Lucas, the event's marketing specialist, the success of In It Together can be attributed to people's natural desire to come together after the coronavirus pandemic. She said, "The idea came about because of Covid, it was a tough time for everyone. The company was put on hold, and everyone was keeping their distance - we just couldn't be together, and the idea was to create something where everyone could come together again - families could reunite, grandchildren could be with their grandparents, and it could be a big family event."
Furthermore, Daisy notes that today In It Together continues to expand, bringing together talented artists and an appreciative audience excited to have a large-scale festival in a small town among the local farms.
"What's great about it is that they're very much a team. We all know them, we all get along with them. They are present during the festival, and we all embrace each other, and they are part of it. We all came together, and that helped make it as special as it is. We'd like to thank Port Talbot and the Port Talbot community for allowing us to do this and come back here year after year," says Daisy Lucas.
This year's In It Together 2024 festival will take place from May 24 to 26. Tickets for the event are available here.
