Hilton expands presence in Guadalajara with new Canopy by Hilton Signing

Hilton has expanded its Guadalajara portfolio by announcing the signing of Canopy by Hilton Guadalajara, marking a significant milestone in the company's robust expansion across Mexico. The signing follows the recent inauguration of the Hilton Garden Inn Guadalajara Airport and precedes the hotel's expected opening in 2028.

This new venture, a 170-room hotel, will enhance Hilton's influence in Guadalajara, positioning the city as an increasingly popular destination for both business and leisure travelers. Owned by Trust Capital and managed by Hilton, Canopy by Hilton Guadalajara represents Hilton's commitment to growing its presence in key markets with its multi-brand, multi-destination strategy, as highlighted by Mario Carbone, Managing Director of Development, Mexico and Central America, Hilton.

Canopy by Hilton Guadalajara, set to be the brand's first in the city and second in Mexico, aligns with Hilton's plan to broaden its award-winning brand portfolio in the region. Jenna Hackett, Brand Leader at Canopy by Hilton, expressed excitement about introducing the high-end, boutique hotel brand to Guadalajara, promising a unique hotel experience that integrates the local culture through sophisticated design and bespoke amenities.

Strategically located in one of Guadalajara’s most vibrant neighborhoods and close to Andares Mall, the hotel's location offers easy access to premium shopping, diverse culinary experiences, and entertainment. This project will include a partnership with Estudio AMA and SOM for architecture and Esrawe Studio for interior design, ensuring the hotel embodies the local spirit and serves as a community hub.

The hotel’s planned amenities are extensive, including a lively lobby bar, an all-day restaurant, and a scenic rooftop with a pool, providing both locals and travelers with a sophisticated spot to relax and socialize.
