Guinness Storehouse in Dublin recognized as the world's leading tourist attraction by World Travel Awards
The Guinness Storehouse is a popular tourist destination in Dublin. In 2023, according to new data, more than 1.5 million visitors from 165 countries visited the vault.
These figures represent an overall increase of 32% in the number of visitors compared to the previous year. Among them, about 28% came from the UK. Last month, the historic landmark was named the world's leading tourist attraction for 2023 at the World Travel Awards in Dubai, The Irish Post writes.
This week, the Guinness Storehouse released its 2023 figures, which confirm that "a continued focus on curating premium experiences to attract international visitors" seems to be working.

"Highlighted seasonal moments such as the St. Patrick's Day Festival and Christmas at the Guinness Storehouse, as well as the launch of a new exclusive behind-the-scenes brewery tour, drove visitor growth from the UK (28%), the US (24%) and continental Europe, where visitors from Spain, Italy, Germany and France increased by 26%," the Storehouse confirmed. A programme of cultural events and collaborations with world-class artists and some of Ireland's most exciting talent has helped to maintain its appeal to domestic visitors as well.
Located in the Liberty district, the venue hosted sold-out concerts by artists such as BICEP and Kelis, collaborated with Annie Mac for Dublin's Cultural Night, and hosted the Other Voices event featuring Mike Skinner and Mahalia in 2023. In 2023, the Storehouse sold more than 1.2 million pints of Guinness beer and 42,609 pints of its non-alcoholic offering, Guinness 0.0.
