Fraudsters offer illegal transfer for money at Delhi airport: it's actually free
A tourist told us about a strange incident that happened to her at the Delhi airport. She was asked to pay for a free transfer between T2 and T1.
Shruti Chaturvedi shared her experience on social media. According to her, two men approached her and said that the transfer would cost between 40 and 100 rupees. The woman told them that this passage was free, to which they replied that the rules had changed and she needed to pay a fee for the service, Jagran English writes.
"Delhi is funny. Two guys run their own shuttle bus. I told them that it should be free, and they said that the rules of the Delhi airport have changed, now you have to pay 40 rupees for children, 100 rupees for adults, because the DMRC has an exclusive contract for airport shuttle service," the woman said.
She added that the CISF officers responsible for airport security are unaware of them. "The guys have neither a permit nor the name of the owner who pays them. They must be scammers," she was told.
Meanwhile, the Delhi airport responded to the incident and clarified that the inter-terminal bus service is free.
