Flydubai Elevates In-flight Experience with PressReader Integration
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 10 January 2024: Flydubai, a leading Dubai-based airline, announces a significant upgrade to its in-flight services by introducing PressReader, a digital magazine platform, across 70% of its fleet. This initiative enhances the passenger experience by offering complimentary access to a vast array of international publications directly through the carrier's in-flight entertainment system.
The integration of PressReader is part of flydubai's larger strategy to elevate the customer experience. Previously, the airline offered PressReader access in its Business Lounge at Dubai International (DXB). Now, passengers on selected flights can enjoy a seamless digital reading experience, whether in Business Class or Economy. This service not only provides entertainment but also aligns with the airline's commitment to sustainability by reducing the need for printed materials on board.
Daniel Kerrison, Senior Vice President of Inflight Operations at flydubai, emphasized the company's dedication to technological innovation and customer satisfaction. "Introducing PressReader as a paperless alternative onboard aligns with our efforts to enhance the passenger experience while being mindful of our environmental footprint," he stated.
The airline's latest aircraft feature the RAVE inflight entertainment system by Safran Passenger Innovations (SPI), boasting a full HD, 11.6-inch screen. This system, offering a broad selection of movies, TV shows, music, and games, is complimentary for Business Class passengers and available for purchase in Economy Class.
Carlos Martinez, Director of Partnerships at PressReader, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership's expansion. "Our collaboration with flydubai not only extends our inflight presence but also provides passengers with high-quality reading content, even offline," he said.
This development is part of flydubai's continuous efforts to improve its services and cater to the evolving needs of travelers. With a growing network of over 120 destinations in 54 countries and a fleet of 84 Boeing 737 aircraft, flydubai is poised to offer an enriched travel experience to its passengers, balancing entertainment, convenience, and sustainability.
