Finnair Expands Summer Flights to Enchanting Nordic Destinations
Finnair is set to enhance its flight offerings to some of the most picturesque Nordic holiday spots during the peak summer season. From the end of June to August, this strategic expansion aims to cater to the growing demand from European and Asian travelers seeking the unique allure of Northern Europe.
The airline's decision reflects the increasing appeal of Northern Europe's pristine nature and authentic experiences. According to Ole Orvér, Finnair's Chief Commercial Officer, these destinations are ideal for travelers looking for genuine and memorable experiences, with Finnair providing seamless connections across the Nordics through its Helsinki hub.
In a notable move, Finnair is reinstating flights to Bodø, a captivating city just above the Arctic Circle in Northern Norway. From June 17 to August 2, the airline will operate five weekly flights to Bodø. Additionally, Finnair is boosting its service to Trondheim, Norway, with 10 weekly flights from June through the end of August. Both Bodø and Trondheim are renowned for their breathtaking natural landscapes and are prime spots for outdoor enthusiasts.
The airline is also increasing flights to Kuusamo, Ivalo, and Kittilä in Northern Finland, responding to the rising popularity of Finnish Lapland as a summer holiday destination. Finnair stands out as the only airline offering year-round service to this region, famed for its pristine natural beauty, fresh air, and the enchanting white nights of the summer season. These flights offer smooth connections to Finnair's network in Europe and the United States.
Moreover, Finnair is enhancing its service to Visby in Gotland, Sweden, with five weekly flights from the end of June to early August. Visby, a medieval city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, presents an idyllic summer getaway on the charming island of Gotland.
This expansion by Finnair not only enriches its network but also provides travelers with more opportunities to explore the unique and serene beauty of the Nordic regions. As the summer approaches, these additional flights are poised to open doors to unforgettable holiday experiences for both international and domestic tourists.
