Delta to Elevate Airport Lounge Experience with Premium Offerings in 2024

Delta Air Lines is set to redefine luxury travel with the launch of its new premium lounge experiences in JFK, LAX, and BOS airports, alongside significant expansions within its Delta Sky Club network. The announcement follows a year of considerable growth in 2023, which saw the addition of five new Clubs and the expansion of two locations. As 2024 approaches, Delta is preparing to introduce a new level of service and hospitality, starting with an expansive 38,000-square-foot premium lounge at JFK.

This inaugural lounge will offer guests a full-service brasserie, a chef-assisted market with open kitchens, dedicated wellness areas, and features unique to each city's heritage. Claude Roussel, Vice President – Sky Club and Lounge Experience, emphasizes the vision of personalized service, aiming to make premium lounges a space where guests feel both welcomed and known.

In total, Delta plans to open five new lounges in 2024, adding over 2,700 seats to its network. The expansion includes a first-ever Charlotte location, a second Club in Seattle, and larger facilities in Miami and LGA, with LGA's Terminal C Club gaining a Sky Deck and additional seating.

The premium lounge at JFK, set to debut in early summer 2024, will be the largest in Delta's network, boasting a year-round terrace. Following closely, Delta will introduce its premium experience on the west coast with a new lounge at LAX, featuring an exclusive outdoor terrace. The year will round off with openings in CLT and BOS, further enhancing Delta's footprint across key markets.

Delta's commitment to culinary excellence continues with its Local Flavor program, showcasing emerging chefs and their signature recipes. The 2024 lineup includes acclaimed talents like Jeremy Sewall from Boston and Silvia Barban from New York, along with recognition of Local Flavor alumni as James Beard Award® semifinalists.

2023 was a landmark year for Delta Sky Clubs, receiving accolades for its lounge network and specific recognition for its LAX Club. With these expansions and the introduction of premium lounges, Delta aims to offer unparalleled luxury and comfort to its travelers, setting new standards for airport lounge experiences.
