The vibrant city of Buenos Aires recently welcomed an impressive influx of over 106,533 tourists during its extra-long Carnival weekend, from February 10th to 14th. This significant visitor count not only underscores Buenos Aires as a premier global destination but also contributed an astounding economic impact of 20.7 billion pesos to the city. With an average hotel occupancy rate of 67%, the city's tourism sector witnessed a remarkable boost, according to travel2latam.

Buenos Aires has consistently attracted more than 100,000 national and international visitors in 11 of the last 12 long weekends, highlighting its appeal as a must-visit location. Valentín Díaz Gilligan, the president of the Tourism Entity of the City of Buenos Aires, emphasized the city's commitment to maintaining its status as a top choice for tourists by continually enhancing and diversifying its tourism offerings.

The Carnival weekend's attractions were part of the "Summer in Buenos Aires" program, featuring a wide array of cultural and gastronomic events suitable for families. Highlights included the Museum of Imagination and Play (MIJU), a pioneering recreational space catering to children, and BOCHA, a diverse gastronomic journey at the Argentine Polo Field, offering Asian, Italian, Armenian, and Texan cuisines, among others.

Moreover, the enduring "Tourism in Neighborhoods" initiative invited visitors to explore Buenos Aires' unique neighborhoods, such as La Boca, Barrio Coreano, and Recoleta, through their distinctive gastronomy, urban art, and more.
