AirAsia Launches Boarding Pass Privileges to Enrich Thailand's Travel Experience

AirAsia has unveiled an exciting campaign titled "AirAsia Boarding Pass Privileges," in collaboration with 18 distinguished partners, aiming to revolutionize the travel experience for international visitors to Thailand. This initiative, offering up to 10,000 THB in discounts at a variety of shops, restaurants, and service providers, is set to position Thailand as a premier destination for global travelers.

From March 22 to December 31, 2024, international travelers flying to Thailand with AirAsia can avail themselves of exclusive discounts, enhancing their stay in the 'Land of Smiles.' This campaign is part of AirAsia's broader "Takeover Thailand" initiative, reflecting the airline's dedication to showcasing Thailand's vibrant appeal to a regional audience.

Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO of AirAsia Thailand, highlighted the campaign's potential to stimulate the Thai economy and add tremendous value for customers, making their visit truly unforgettable. The initiative is backed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and 18 participating partners, demonstrating a collective effort to bolster international tourism.

The campaign's launch is timely, coinciding with the introduction of the Kuala Lumpur-Pattaya route on June 17, 2024, expanding AirAsia's network which spans 19 countries and includes 65 routes to 52 destinations. Partnerships with entities like King Power and Central World Department Store provide a wide range of privileges for travelers.

Central Pattana plc, with its 41 shopping centers across Thailand, aims to serve as a "Tourist Hub," offering diverse services to international tourists. The campaign is tailored to meet the interests of Chinese travelers, the primary inbound demographic for AirAsia since 2023, by including promotional offers through international bank and e-wallet services such as Alipay and WeChat Pay.

This collaborative effort between AirAsia and its partners underscores Thailand's commitment to enhancing the travel experience, offering a plethora of benefits and ensuring each journey to Thailand is an adventure to remember.
