AirAsia Expands Horizons with New Direct Route from Hat Yai to Singapore
In a significant boost to international travel connectivity, AirAsia has unveiled direct flights linking Hat Yai, Thailand, to Singapore, marking a new chapter in regional air travel. The service, set to operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, aims to enhance the travel experience for passengers from Hat Yai and the surrounding Songkhla province by offering direct, on-time flights to the vibrant city-state of Singapore.
To celebrate the launch of this new route, AirAsia has introduced an enticing “Singapore: Fun for the Whole Family" promotion. Passengers can take advantage of all-inclusive one-way fares starting from just 1,490 THB. This special offer is available for bookings made up to 4 February 2024, for travel dates ranging from 1 February to 26 October 2024.
The inauguration of the Hat Yai to Singapore flights was commemorated at Hat Yai Airport with a ceremonial send-off for passengers aboard the first flight, FD336, to Singapore. This event was followed by a warm welcome for guests arriving on the return flight, FD337, from Singapore, highlighting the route's significance. The launch was a collaborative effort involving AirAsia, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and other key stakeholders, underscoring the collective endeavor to promote tourism and economic growth in the region.
Miss Maneenuch Thongnounlert, AirAsia’s Station Manager for Hat Yai Airport, emphasized the strategic importance of the new Hat Yai-Singapore route. It becomes the fourth destination served by AirAsia from Hat Yai, alongside Don Mueang, Chiang Mai, and Kuala Lumpur. This expansion brings AirAsia's daily flights from Hat Yai to a total of 12, reflecting the airline's commitment to enhancing the city's tourism and commercial prospects through increased connectivity.
Miss Maneenuch also highlighted the consistent popularity of AirAsia's flights to and from Hat Yai, with an impressive average load factor exceeding 90 percent since December of the previous year. The addition of the Hat Yai-Singapore service is expected to further cater to the demand for convenient, punctual, and affordable air travel, enriching the travel options available to both leisure and business travelers.
The new service not only facilitates direct access to Singapore for residents and visitors of Hat Yai and Songkhla but also strengthens the network of flights connecting Thailand with key destinations in Southeast Asia. As AirAsia continues to expand its routes and frequencies, the airline plays a pivotal role in boosting the regional economy, offering travelers enhanced flexibility and choice for their journeys.
