A light aircraft, S2R-T660, belonging to the National Forestry Corporation (CONAF), lost control and crashed directly onto a highway in the Chilean city of Talca. The plane collided with a truck and also struck a power line with its wing.
The incident took place on the highway near the Panguilemo airfield, as reported by Enel Aire.
Tragically, the pilot lost his life in the crash. He was reportedly operating the plane at the time of the accident. Additionally, four other individuals sustained injuries in the incident.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. One hypothesis suggests a technical malfunction of the aircraft, while another points to a potential piloting error.
