A live snake was caught on board a flight to Phuket, hiding above the passengers' heads. Video
An unexpected "passenger" was spotted on a Thai AirAsia flight from Bangkok to Phuket. Frightened travelers alerted flight attendants to a snake climbing over their heads.
It is unclear how the reptile got on board, but it was quickly caught and isolated. The video appeared on TikTok, where it quickly gained more than 3 million views before being deleted. However, it was reposted on Instagram.
"The incident occurred on January 13 on Thai AirAsia flight FD3015, departing from Don Muang Airport to Phuket Airport. There are currently no reports on how the snake got on board the plane, as no passenger has admitted to bringing it on board," the post reads.
The footage shows that the not-so-thick snake was crawling in a gap between the fuselage and the luggage rack while the passengers below it panicked.
The flight attendants tried to catch it in a bottle, but the reptile stubbornly refused to get in. So the crew members took a garbage bag and used the bottle to stuff the snake inside.
The video shows that after the incident, the luggage rack was inspected, but no more uninvited guests were found.
The airline has not yet commented on the incident, and the original video has disappeared from TikTok but continues to go viral on other social platforms.
