Several generations of Red Sox fans fill the space of this legendary bar under the Green Monster, along with students and curious passersby. People come here to have fun before the game and save money on beer at nearby Fenway Park. Of all the sports bars in Boston, this one is the closest to the stadium. So much so that you can feel the rhythm and pulse of the stadium while sitting at a bar stool in front of one of the 60 TVs: you can hear the roar of the crowd and the spectators rushing past. The menu features classic fried dishes and top-notch appetizers, and the drinks include a long list of beers to suit every taste. While waiting for the game, try the pasta and homemade barbecue here. 2. Bleacher Bar

Popular in Boston, MA this sports bar is located practically under the bleachers at Fenway Park, a few feet from the famous red seat that marked Ted Williams' home run in the 1946 season. It is the ultimate immersive experience of the game. While the experience is greatest on Red Sox game day, this seat is available to the public 363 days a year. Long used as the visiting team's batting cage and field storage, the annex is now a darkened room serving good appetizers and drinks, including a decent beer list. Tables near the window with a great view of the field fill up most hours before game time. The bar is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The place welcomes all fans, so there's no sports action coming off its screens, and the menu is a well-balanced offering of hearty meals and appetizers. Of the drinks, there are reasonably priced beer, wine and cocktails. During halftime or after the game, you can go out to the spacious and cozy back patio to relax outdoors or play a game of pool or darts. The atmosphere is friendly, and in addition to sports broadcasts, there are themed nights with karaoke. There is also a free parking lot. The bar is open daily from 2pm to 2am on weekdays and 11am to 2am on weekends.

10. Stats Bar and Grille

Unlike other sports bars in Boston MA, which usually offer a small selection of appetizers during the game, this one features an extensive eclectic food menu and an equally decent selection of drinks. There are 22 screens placed throughout the sports bar space in the heart of South Boston, so you'll get a great view from every corner in the room. It's the perfect place to gather with friends to watch your favorite team play, grab a bite to eat, have a late dinner, or sit down with a drink after work. During big games, a lot of fans gather here, so if you get tired of the under-the-bar shouting and loud emotions, you can settle in with food and a drink under umbrellas outside. The bar is open every day from 11:00 to 1:00.
