Zurich Airport Unveils a Full Festive Programme for Advent 2025
Zurich Airport is preparing for one of its busiest and most atmospheric periods of the year, as its Advent programme brings together events, food stalls, concerts, and light installations. Running from 19 November through early January, the airport grounds will feature the popular Christmas Village at The Circle, a nine-metre "Sparkling Tree", extended shopping hours, and a wide mix of seasonal activities designed to create a lively setting for visitors.
A key attraction is the fifth edition of Zauberpark, the annual music and light art festival held in the Airport Park from 19 November to 7 December. Each evening, the open-air stage will host well-known artists such as Marc Sway, Corinne Bailey Rae, Alle Farben, and Bligg. Earlier in the evening, families can attend a dedicated children’s programme with performances by Andrew Bond, Tante Carmen, magician Dan White, and the children’s band Silberbüx.
Alongside the concerts, Zauberpark will present 17 light installations created by artists from across Europe. The light installations are placed along the panoramic path, so visitors can walk through the park and see each work at close range. Together with the food stalls and evening performances, they create one of the airport’s standout highlights during the Advent season. The Christmas Village at The Circle opens the same day, offering warm drinks, raclette, Swiss dishes, and a fondue hut for small groups.
The wider airport area will also cater to those planning their holiday shopping. Stores will remain open late, including on Sundays and public holidays. Across the terminals, themed displays will showcase gift ideas, and a wrapping station will operate between 17 and 26 December. St. Nicholas will appear on 6 December across Airport Shopping, the departure halls, and The Circle, while an Advent concert by the Zurich Airport Orchestra will take place on 7 December in Departure Hall 2.
Aviation fans are also part of the programme. Alongside the regular public tours, the airport will run special guided tours and sightseeing rides on the following dates:
- 24–26 December 2025
- 31 December 2025–2 January 2026
Observation Deck B and the Aviolino bistro will be open on these days from 10:00 to 17:00. Together, these activities turn the airport into a seasonal meeting place for visitors, families and aviation enthusiasts, offering more to see and do than a typical travel day.
