Wizz Air Launches Direct Flights Between Belgrade and Madrid This Autumn
Wizz Air is getting ready to roll out a straight-shot flight between Belgrade and Madrid, with takeoff for the first trip planned on 28 October 2025. According to the airline’s announcement, tickets are already on sale through official booking channels, with fares starting at 4,429 Serbian dinars. This new route cuts out the airport hopscotch and goes straight from Belgrade to Madrid, shaving off hours and dodging the usual airport crowds along the way.
With this new addition, Wizz Air now flies to 24 different destinations from Serbia. The Belgrade to Madrid flight clears the usual roadblocks, turning what used to be a tiring zigzag across airports into a smooth, straight ride from one corner of Europe to another. Travellers who once had to plan around stopovers and delays now have a simpler option, whether they are heading out for a holiday, returning home, or travelling for work or study.
Stepping into Madrid, one of the first places that grabs attention is the Gran Vía, a lively street packed with old theatres, quirky bookshops and buildings that look like they’ve seen it all. It is popular for evening walks and people-watching. For a more relaxed outing, Casa de Campo is Madrid’s largest public park and includes open-air trails, boating areas and a scenic cable car that crosses the Manzanares River. Both places are reachable using the city’s metro system or airport buses.
Belgrade-bound passengers will find several options for leisure and sightseeing. Ada Ciganlija is a forested island on the Sava River that has been developed into a recreational area with walking paths, beaches and seasonal cafés. Another destination is Zemun, a historic neighbourhood with Austro-Hungarian architecture, a riverside promenade and the Gardoš Tower, which offers panoramic views of the city. You can hop on a bus or grab a taxi, and you'll be there without any hassle.
This new flight draws a clearer line on the map between Belgrade and Madrid, making it easier to hop from one vibrant capital to the other without the usual travel fuss. If you prefer quick travel plans, like to keep your schedule open or decide trips on the go, this direct flight skips the usual layovers and makes the whole journey far less complicated. Whether you're roaming with a backpack, wandering on your own or stitching together a longer adventure, getting around Europe just got a whole lot simpler.
