United Airlines Apologizes After Incident with NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis

United Airlines faced criticism following an incident involving NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis on a flight from Denver to Orange County, California. Over the weekend, Davis, traveling with his family, was yelled at by a flight attendant after requesting a cup of ice. The situation escalated, leading to Davis being handcuffed and arrested upon landing.

Davis shared his experience on Instagram, stating that the incident began when his son requested ice from a flight attendant who either ignored or didn’t hear the request. Davis tapped the attendant’s arm to get his attention, which led to an aggressive reaction from the crew member.

Upon landing at John Wayne Airport, the FBI and local police boarded the plane, handcuffed Davis, and removed him without explanation, in front of his family and fellow passengers. Law enforcement later determined that the flight attendant’s accusations were inaccurate, and Davis was released.

United Airlines has since apologized to Davis and removed the flight attendant from duty. The airline’s response came after Davis demanded a thorough investigation into the incident, condemning the unjust treatment he and his family received.
