Regen Central Ltd, a British holiday company offering package trips across Europe, South East Asia and the Middle East, has ceased trading after entering liquidation. The Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that the company lost its Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing (ATOL) status on 13 January 2026. The firm, founded in 2011 in Hertfordshire, traded under several names and websites before shutting down, leaving customers uncertain about refunds and cancelled travel plans.

The CAA stated that Regen Central Ltd previously used trading names including One Haji and Umrah, Regen Travels and Oneworld Travels, with associated websites. While the company sold packages including flights, accommodation and religious travel, the regulator noted that certain products were not covered by ATOL rules. Packages sold as flight-only, accommodation-only or non-flight trips fall outside the protection scheme and may leave customers at risk of losing money.

Protection & Refund Guidance

The CAA highlighted that:

  • ATOL refunds apply only to eligible flight-inclusive packages
  • Flight-only bookings with tickets issued are not protected
  • Accommodation-only bookings are not protected
  • Non-flight packages are not protected

Customers who believe they held ATOL-protected bookings have been advised to contact the CAA via email at claims@caa.co.uk. The CAA also noted that the company had no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings at the time of collapse, meaning many customers may need to seek alternative routes for reimbursement or check payment protection options through banks and card providers.

For those who had planned trips, the collapse affects destinations including Italy, Bali, Thailand, Dubai and Saudi Arabia. These areas remain accessible through other UK operators, and travellers can still find scheduled services, city stays and holiday packages via major airlines or well-known tour providers. Dubai offers beaches, malls and Old Dubai districts; Bali brings temples and coastlines; while Italy and Thailand remain popular for food, history and island breaks.

Regen Central’s collapse follows other closures such as Ickenham Travel Group and Great Little Escapes. These cases show how some tour operators can struggle, particularly when sales vary by season. For people who booked, the main issue is working out what ATOL does and does not cover, checking booking terms and seeing whether refunds are possible. Companies will continue to go under, so paying attention at the booking stage helps avoid bigger problems.
