From 17 July 2025, Transavia will open bookings for part of its summer 2026 schedule earlier than in previous years. The routes, departing from Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Rotterdam, include several high-demand destinations across Europe and North Africa. The remainder of the network, including flights from Brussels, is expected to open on 17 September. Flights for the summer season will run from early April until the end of October, giving travellers a broad window to organise spring and summer trips.

Opening up bookings earlier is a sign that people are rethinking how they plan holidays these days. Since many people now prefer to lock in their travel plans well ahead of time, having flights available earlier gives them more options to shape trips that fit their needs. Instead of waiting for the full schedule in autumn, passengers can now start arranging their summer journeys while still in the previous travel season. This change also helps avoid the usual stress of last-minute decisions and crowded booking periods.

We see that customers want to book their favorite destinations earlier and earlier. That’s why we’re already making part of next year’s flight schedule available.
Marcel de Nooijer, CEO of Transavia

Among the cities included in the first release are Valencia and Lisbon. Valencia combines modern buildings with green public spaces, including the City of Arts and Sciences and a long park created from a dried riverbed. Lisbon is known for its hillside views and old-fashioned trams. Just outside the city, Sintra offers historic palaces surrounded by forest. Both cities give travellers a chance to mix city life with nature in one short trip.

Flights will also operate to Marrakech and Pisa. In Marrakech, travellers can explore traditional markets in the medina or visit the Majorelle Garden, a quieter space known for its botanical variety. Pisa, beyond its famous tower, features narrow side streets along the Arno and medieval quarters like Borgo Stretto. Getting flight access to these places earlier makes it easier for travellers to plan around local festivals, exhibitions or any events already happening during their visit.

If you're trying to plan a trip around school breaks or a big local event, having flights available earlier makes things a lot easier to sort out. It makes travel plans easier to shape around real-life needs, whether that means locking in a place to stay or catching that train without racing through the station. What used to be a set routine for releasing flights is now changing, shaped by travellers who want fewer surprises and more say in how their journey unfolds.
