As part of the Neom mega-development project, a luxury island resort called Sindalah will emerge in the Red Sea off the coast of Saudi Arabia. The design of this 840,000-square-meter facility is led by the Italian superyacht and architecture studio Luca Dini Design and Architecture.

The new resort, situated in the northeast of Saudi Arabia, is expected to welcome its first guests in early 2024. According to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, this facility will represent "the future of luxury travel" and will be tailored to the yachting community, as reported by Dezeen.

The resort will be centered around a yacht club and a marina boasting 86 berths. Furthermore, multiple luxury hotels will be situated across the island, offering over 400 rooms and more than 300 serviced apartments and villas.

Regarding leisure activities, guests can indulge in golf, dine at any of the 38 restaurants, and relax at a beach club. Additionally, it will be home to The Line, a 170-kilometer-long linear skyscraper accommodating 9 million residents.

"It will be a destination where travelers can immerse themselves in the true beauty of Neom and Saudi Arabia, both above and below the waterline, making Sindalah the epitome of future luxury travel," stated Bin Salman.

Despite the grand scale and expectations associated with this project, it has faced criticism. Reports indicate that three members of the Huwaitat tribe were forcibly evicted and displaced to make room for the mega-project. Furthermore, these individuals were reportedly sentenced to death by the Specialized Criminal Court of Saudi Arabia.
