The Israeli airline canceled two flights, including to Dublin: the reason

Israeli airline El Al Israel Airlines (LY) has announced the suspension of flights to Dublin (Ireland) and Marrakech (Morocco). The decision, disappointing for some passengers, was made due to a significant decline in demand and the expression of "anti-Israeli sentiment" by sources in the governments of both countries.

Airwaysmag reports on this, noting that it remains unclear whether El Al will resume these routes in the future. Flights to Dublin and Marrakech were initially suspended at the beginning of the conflict between Gaza and Israel.

However, on the morning of February 5, LY confirmed that flights to Dublin and Marrakech will not be resumed at the beginning of the next tourist season.

El Al's Vice President of Commercial and Industrial Affairs, Shlomo Zafrani, stated that the airline has been working for several months to expand its network of routes to popular destinations.

These are not the first flights that the airline has recently canceled. Last week, LY announced the suspension of flights to Johannesburg (South Africa) for similar reasons.

Such decisions will enable the company to add approximately 500 flights to other popular European routes to connect Israel with other destinations around the world.
