Thai Airways, the national airline of Thailand, is advancing its technological capabilities through an expanded partnership with Amadeus. This move aims to increase revenue and elevate passenger experiences as the airline continues to recover from the impacts of the pandemic.

As part of the renewed agreement, Amadeus travel sellers in Thailand will retain access to Thai Airways' domestic content, enriching their travel retailing options. Additionally, the airline plans to upgrade its website and mobile booking channels, utilizing Amadeus Reference Experience for a more responsive and personalized interface.

Thai Airways is set to implement a seamless booking flow across multiple devices, enabling travelers to manage bookings, check-ins, and disruptions independently. The airline will also introduce Amadeus Travel Ready, allowing international passengers to verify travel documents online, thus reducing check-in times and airport queues.

To optimize revenue and network efficiency, Thai Airways will deploy Amadeus Network Revenue Management. This technology leverages machine learning and customer choice modeling to enhance route planning and pricing decisions, benefiting from connections, codeshares, and partnerships.

Further strengthening its payment capabilities, Thai Airways will adopt the Xchange Payment Platform (XPP) from Amadeus' payments division, Outpayce. XPP supports a variety of payment methods and offers robust fraud management and cross-border transaction capabilities, improving acceptance rates and payment strategy.

Nuthaphol Amawatana, Head of Pricing and Revenue Management at Thai Airways, emphasized the significance of this technological upgrade. "This investment is crucial for our business transformation. It ensures a modern and seamless booking experience on our website and mobile app while maintaining our strong relationship with Amadeus."

Javier Laforgue, Executive Vice President at Amadeus, highlighted the strategic importance of this partnership. "Thai Airways is a key partner, and this agreement marks a milestone in our collaboration. Our technology will support their growth and help achieve their business objectives."

This comprehensive enhancement of Thai Airways' technological infrastructure promises to streamline operations and provide a superior travel experience for its passengers.
