SunExpress Adds Direct Leipzig–Dalaman Flights
SunExpress has started a new nonstop service between Leipzig/Halle and Dalaman, adding a direct option for travellers heading to Turkey’s south-west coast. The first flight operated on 3 October 2026, with services running through October before returning for the 2027 summer season. The route is aimed at holidaymakers using Leipzig/Halle who previously had fewer direct options to reach the Dalaman region.

The October service is a short seasonal run rather than a year-round route, pausing after the month ends and returning on 30 April 2027. SunExpress also plans Summer 2027 Dalaman flights from Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne/Bonn, Munich and Stuttgart, giving travellers alternatives if Leipzig dates do not fit. Anyone building a longer trip should compare those departure points, as the Leipzig service operates only once a week.
Dalaman Airport is a gateway for resorts including Fethiye and Marmaris, while Göcek and Dalyan are also useful bases for onward trips. Official airport information lists HAVAŞ and MUTTAŞ coaches, municipal minibuses, taxis and car hire for ground transport. The new flight also gives easier access to Ölüdeniz, the Lycian Way, Kaunos and the nearby sailing bays around Göcek.
Because the route runs only once a week, matching both flight dates matters before booking accommodation or transfers. October travellers should also note that the service is limited to that month, so missing the return flight could mean using another German airport or an indirect journey. The Friday summer schedule may suit week-long holidays, but exact dates should still be checked before committing to non-refundable plans.
