easyJet has announced a new route linking London Southend Airport with Budapest, with flights set to begin on 26 October 2026. The service will run twice a week on Mondays and Fridays throughout the winter season. Tickets are already on sale via the airline’s website and mobile app, with fares starting at £23.99 for a one-way journey.

The new connection adds Budapest to the list of destinations served from London Southend. easyJet will be the only airline flying this route, with direct services between the two cities. Flights run twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, with fixed travel days each week. The timing fits both short stays and business trips, with departures at the start and end of the week.

easyJet holidays offers package trips to Budapest that combine flights with hotel stays. Prices for a three-night stay start at £260 per person, with a low deposit option. Travellers can choose from a range of centrally located hotels, making it possible to stay close to key areas without relying on longer transfers after arrival.

Budapest offers a mix of well-known landmarks and everyday city experiences within a compact area. Visitors can walk between the Parliament building, Buda Castle and the Chain Bridge, or spend time in the city’s thermal baths. The Danube riverfront, ruin bars and local cafés are easy to reach, while nearby wine regions and countryside areas can be visited on short trips.

The route links Southend with Budapest without a change, adding another European destination to the airport’s map. With two flights a week, it gives a clear pattern for planning trips without going through larger London airports. If enough people use the route this winter, the airline may keep it in the timetable in the next seasons.
