Small Dogs Now Welcome in Cabin on All PAL Domestic Flights
Philippine Airlines has expanded its FurPAL scheme to cover every domestic route, allowing small dogs to travel in the cabin for ₱2,500 one way. The programme, first introduced in November 2025, permits eligible pets to fly alongside their owners rather than in the hold, subject to strict size, age and documentation requirements.
Only small dog breeds weighing up to 10kg and at least eight weeks old may travel in cabin. Each passenger can bring one pet, with a maximum of three small dogs allowed per flight. Animals must remain inside a soft-sided, leak-proof carrier measuring no more than 17" x 11" x 9.5", placed under the seat for the entire journey.

The airline also requires vaccination records, a veterinary certificate, PAL declaration forms and a shipping permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry. Aircraft cabins use HEPA filtration systems, and cleaning is carried out before each flight. With the scheme now available nationwide, pet owners can plan trips to island destinations and regional cities without leaving their dogs behind. Popular leisure routes such as Manila to Boracay, as well as flights to Davao and Bacolod, are included. The expansion opens up short domestic breaks and family visits for those unwilling to travel without their pets.
The decision highlights a practical change in domestic flying, as more people want to bring their dogs with them. Firm rules on size, numbers and required documents are there to keep cabins manageable. For many travellers within the Philippines, this option solves a common problem and makes short breaks or family visits easier to arrange with a pet included. It also reduces the need to consider cargo transport or alternative ground travel for small dogs.
