Senegal Is Back on Bratislava’s Holiday Map
Hydrotour will bring back direct charter flights between Bratislava and Senegal in October 2026, reopening access to one of West Africa’s beach destinations. The holiday operator is adding Senegal to its programme after previous demand from travellers, with flights operated together with Smartwings. The package will focus on stays at a five-star resort, alongside optional trips exploring the country’s landscapes and culture.

The first flight will depart Bratislava on 2 October 2026, with Smartwings operating the Boeing 737-800 service during the autumn season. Hydrotour plans eight rotations in October and November, with holiday packages including stays at the five-star RIU Baobab resort in Pointe Sarène. The beachfront property offers 24-hour all-inclusive services, pools, modern rooms and Slovak-speaking support for guests during their stay.
Senegal gives visitors the chance to explore more than just a beach resort. Popular excursions include wildlife watching at Bandia Nature Reserve, a visit to Lake Retba, known as the Pink Lake, and trips to Dakar, the country’s capital. Travellers can discover local markets, historic sites and everyday life in West Africa while staying within reach of the Atlantic coastline.
The new route adds another long-haul leisure option for people living in Slovakia and nearby regions who usually need to travel through larger European airports for exotic holidays. Senegal combines a warm climate, beaches and cultural experiences, making it different from more established winter sun destinations. Direct charter access may also make West Africa easier to consider for first-time visitors.
