Fly2Galicia is preparing to add eight direct routes at Santiago de Compostela this winter, linking Galicia with three Spanish cities and five destinations elsewhere in Europe. The launch comes ahead of the 2027 Holy Year, when Santiago is expected to draw more pilgrims and visitors. The network will expand direct access to the city while giving Galicia additional low-cost connections across the continent.

What to Know Before Booking

  • Airline: Fly2Galicia
  • Airport: Santiago–Rosalía de Castro Airport
  • Launch: 1 December 2026
  • Tickets on sale: 18 August 2026
  • Routes: Alicante, Granada, Zaragoza, Brussels, Munich, Milan Malpensa, Prague and Venice
  • Frequency: 17 departures weekly; Alicante three times a week, other routes twice weekly
  • Season: Initial programme until 24 October 2027
  • Lead-in fares: From €19 domestic; €39 Brussels/Milan; €49 Munich/Prague/Venice
  • Aircraft: Airbus A320 expected to be based in Santiago
  • Included with lowest fare: One personal item and one cabin bag up to 8 kg
  • Operator: Initial flights will be operated by an unnamed European airline under an ACMI arrangement

Fly2Galicia will sell the flights under its own brand, although another European airline will operate the initial services. This means travellers should pay attention to the operating carrier shown on their booking, particularly for check-in and airport information. The entry-level fare includes a personal item and an 8 kg cabin bag, while additional services will depend on the fare selected.

The new links make Santiago easier to reach directly from cities including Brussels, Munich, Prague, Milan and Venice, while the Spanish routes improve access from Alicante, Granada and Zaragoza. Beyond the Camino, visitors can explore Santiago’s UNESCO-listed Old Town and Mercado de Abastos, then continue towards A Coruña, Vigo or the Rías Baixas for beaches, islands and Galicia’s Atlantic coast.

The timing gives Santiago extra capacity just before a year expected to attract more pilgrims and cultural visitors to Galicia. The wider choice may also cut the need for connections through larger Spanish hubs on some journeys. Because Fly2Galicia’s launch flights will be operated by an unnamed partner airline, travellers should still check the final operating carrier, baggage rules and confirmed timetable before booking.
