Rail Europe has expanded its geographic coverage to include Croatia in its routes. This decision allows travel agents to book trips to and from Croatia using Austria's ÖBB international rail services. As a result, travelers now have access to Croatia's scenic landscapes, beaches, and cultural landmarks, while also enjoying convenient travel options throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

The expansion also opens up more opportunities for cross-border travel, connecting cities like Paris, London, Amsterdam, and Barcelona to Zagreb. Rail Europe, in partnership with ÖBB, ensures reliable and comfortable service, further solidifying its position as a leader in European rail travel while offering flexible options for journeys across the continent.

In addition to these expansions, 2024 will bring even more exciting developments to Europe's rail networks, offering travelers greater flexibility and comfort. One of the most significant updates is the expansion of sleeper train routes. The European Sleeper will extend its Brussels-to-Prague route starting in March 2024, with stops in major cities such as Antwerp, Amsterdam, and Berlin. This route provides an eco-friendly and comfortable way to explore multiple European destinations.

Additionally, a high-speed connection between Paris and Madrid is scheduled to launch in late 2024. This service, operated by Trenitalia, will offer a fast and convenient option for tourists eager to visit two of Europe's most iconic cities. For winter travelers, TUI's new "Ski Express" will run from Amsterdam to Austria’s top ski resorts, allowing passengers to enjoy the stunning alpine scenery while avoiding the hassle of flying.

These developments offer travelers greater accessibility to a variety of destinations. By focusing on both convenience and sustainability, rail companies ensure that tourists can explore the continent in comfort while also reducing their environmental impact. As more routes and services become available in 2024, travelers will enjoy unprecedented flexibility, making train travel an increasingly attractive option for discovering the diverse landscapes and cultures of Europe.
