Popular New Jersey hotel closes after 40 years in business

After nearly 40 years of operation, the Woodcliff Lake Hilton in Bergen County, New Jersey, is closing its doors to the public for good. The official closing date is February 26, 2024.

The reason for the closure of the hotels is seen as the consequences caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the increased cost of living, which has made it difficult for people to spend money on travel. It is known that the hotel has been sold to a developer and is expected to be turned into a residential complex.

Both hotels were quite popular and were used as venues for events and parties. It is noted that the locals negatively perceived the news of the closure of the second such establishment in the district.

It is noted that the closure of the hotel has created a shortage of events in the area. In particular, in March, the Woodcliff Lake Hilton was supposed to host children's official dance competitions, but the sudden closure forced them to postpone the school event. And one of the largest car clubs is currently looking for another venue for its annual car show.
