Looking ahead to the summer season, airBaltic plans to expand its network with several new routes across Northern and Southern Europe. Riga will see the largest number of additions, while Tallinn and Vilnius also gain new direct links. Alongside new destinations, the airline is preparing to adjust its schedule by increasing frequencies on selected routes and restoring several previously suspended services.

Network updates planned for summer 2026

  • New routes from Riga: Antalya, Gothenburg, Kaunas, Oulu, Warsaw
  • New routes from Tallinn: Athens, Hamburg, Vienna
  • New routes from Vilnius: Chisinau, Zurich
  • Frequency increases: more than 30 routes across all three capitals
  • Resumed services: Aberdeen, Belgrade, Yerevan, and Oslo

At the same time, the Latvian carrier has opened its first sales campaign of 2026. The MEGA SALE runs from 6 to 27 January, with one-way fares starting at €27. Tickets bought during the promotion are valid for travel between 1 February and 15 December 2026. The airline points out that the number of seats offered at sale prices is limited on each route, and fares depend on the travel dates and the level of demand at the time of booking.

These changes make a wider mix of destinations easier to reach directly from the Baltic region. Mediterranean routes such as Antalya and Athens support seasonal travel, while additions like Zurich, Hamburg, and Vienna strengthen access to financial and cultural centres. Increased frequencies also improve access to secondary cities, offering more flexibility when planning short breaks, family visits, or longer summer itineraries.

Taken together, the route data and schedule updates show how airBaltic is shaping its network around consistent demand rather than headline expansion. For travellers, the combination of early-sale fares, new destinations and denser schedules across established routes points to easier planning across much of 2026, particularly for trips starting in Riga, Vilnius or Tallinn, where direct options continue to grow.
