Vietnam Airlines has brought the Lotus Lounge at Terminal 2 of Noi Bai International Airport back into operation as of 24 August 2025, following temporary closure for enhancements. The lounge, located within Hanoi’s main international terminal, had been temporarily unavailable while work was carried out to enhance its facilities. Its reopening restores access to one of the airport’s key amenities, frequently used by international passengers travelling through the Vietnamese capital.

The upgrades aimed to modernize the lounge and create a more suitable environment for travellers. Vietnam Airlines states that this project is part of a wider effort to provide services aligned with international standards throughout its operations. The main elements of the upgrade include:

  • Enhanced facilities for dependable performance;
  • Improved amenities for greater passenger comfort;
  • Updated interior and layout to meet global expectations.

Travellers passing through the airport can now access the Lotus Lounge, which has reopened to provide a quiet space to rest. Passengers transiting through Terminal 2 now have access to a separate area, providing a quieter alternative to the crowded sections of the airport. This is especially useful for long-haul passengers seeking a calm and functional space to get ready for their flights or use their layovers efficiently.

The reopening is expected to help relieve pressure in other sections of the terminal by giving passengers an additional area to use. Facilities such as this play an important role in ensuring smoother passenger flow and a more efficient travel experience. The availability of such amenities highlights the significance of maintaining high standards at international hubs where traveller expectations continue to grow.

The resumption of services at the Lotus Lounge reflects a return to full operational capacity at Noi Bai International Airport. For travellers, it represents improved comfort and convenience when flying to or from Hanoi. With international travel continuing to grow, well-maintained facilities are key to helping passengers move through the airport smoothly and comfortably.
