easyJet has confirmed four new destinations for its summer 2026 programme from Glasgow Airport, adding Pisa, Lisbon, Sharm El Sheikh, and Malta. The airline, which recently marked 30 years at the airport, is expanding its presence once again, with flights beginning between March and August. Seats are already available, giving people in Glasgow an early chance to plan next summer’s holiday season with a wider set of options.

Here’s a clear overview of when each of the new summer routes will begin and how often they will operate:

Lisbon (Portugal)

  • Starts 29 March 2026
  • Flights on Wednesdays & Sundays

Pisa (Italy)

  • Starts 1 August 2026
  • Flights on Tuesdays & Saturdays

Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt)

  • Starts 1 August 2026
  • Flights on Wednesdays & Saturdays

Malta

  • Starts 4 August 2026
  • Flights on Tuesdays & Fridays

easyJet highlights that this expansion supports its long-standing role at Glasgow Airport, where it now serves more than 40 destinations. The airline suggests the new additions will help people travel for holidays, family visits, and work, while also strengthening Scotland’s links with Europe. The announcement also follows celebrations marking the carrier’s first-ever flight, which landed in Glasgow in November 1995.

For those looking ahead to possible trips, the four destinations open up very different experiences. Malta’s historic capital, Valletta, Lisbon’s hilltop viewpoints, and Pisa’s Tuscan landscapes all become more accessible for short breaks. Sharm El Sheikh gives people a clear warm-weather choice, especially for those who want diving or long days by the sea. It’s a handy option later in the summer when much of Europe has already cooled down. These new links also help visitors reach Scotland without having to change planes elsewhere, which makes the journey more straightforward for anyone coming from abroad.

“In our 30th year, we’re as committed as ever to making travel easy and affordable for our customers in Scotland, which is where it all began for easyJet when our first ever flight arrived in Glasgow from London Luton on 10th November 1995. Since then, we’re proud to have grown our network, spanning 66 destinations across 22 countries, offering even more choice and great value."
Kevin Doyle, easyJet UK Country Manager

Overall, the update reflects a steady strengthening of Glasgow’s route network and gives passengers more straightforward ways to travel during the busiest months of the year. With direct links to southern Europe, North Africa, and two popular city destinations, the new schedule removes the need for longer, less practical journeys. The additions also help keep Glasgow competitive as a departure point, offering clear and simple choices at the planning stage.
