Kerzner International Holdings Limited has revealed plans for its first One&Only resort and a community of Private Homes on Nacula Island in Fiji’s Yasawa Islands. The resort is set to open in 2029, with Private Homes going on sale this November. The development combines global hospitality planning with Fijian investment support through a partnership with BSP Life of BSP Financial Group.

The resort’s location and design have been planned to integrate with the island’s natural environment while providing a range of facilities for visitors. The planned resort will occupy 127 acres of coastline on Nacula Island, characterized by:

  • White-sand beaches and clear turquoise waters
  • Dense tropical vegetation surrounding the property
  • Accessibility by seaplane in approximately 30 minutes from Fiji’s international airport
  • Various accommodation options, including rooms, suites, and villas
  • Dining facilities and a wellness centre
  • Private Homes for longer stays
  • Design integrating with the natural environment and elements of traditional Fijian craftsmanship
“Fiji has long been a coveted addition to our global portfolio, and we’re thrilled to introduce this remarkable location to One&Only’s discerning guests. Unlocking this destination aligns perfectly with our strategic growth in the Asia-Pacific region and reinforces our distinctive approach, continually elevating our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences, all while showcasing the warmth and hospitality of the Fijian spirit on a global stage."
Philippe Zuber, Chief Executive Officer of Kerzner

Visitors to Nacula Island can explore several nearby natural sites. With striking limestone formations and crystal-clear pools, the Sawa-i-Lau Caves invite swimming and exploration. The calm turquoise waters of Blue Lagoon are ideal for kayaking and snorkeling. Nacula Beach offers opportunities to walk along the sand, take a swim, and admire sunsets over the ocean.

Other islands in the Yasawa group are open for travelers to visit. The island of Drawaqa boasts vibrant coral reefs and abundant marine species, ideal for snorkeling and diving adventures. Hiking Waya Island provides stunning vistas of the nearby islands. On Yasawa Island, travelers can find secluded bays and traditional villages, providing chances to observe local life and enjoy various water-based activities. Visitors can enjoy diverse activities at destinations close to the main resort.

The development may influence travel options in the region by providing structured accommodation and supporting local tourism infrastructure. For travelers, the project could facilitate longer stays and organized visits while allowing engagement with natural sites and outdoor activities. The resort and Private Homes are expected to add to existing facilities in the Yasawa Islands and show ongoing development of Fiji as a travel destination in the South Pacific.
