New Etihad Route Links Atlanta to Abu Dhabi Without Stopovers

Etihad Airways has launched a new nonstop route connecting Abu Dhabi with Atlanta, expanding its transatlantic network into the southeastern United States. The first flight landed on 2 July, with the service currently operating four times a week. Daily flights are expected from November 2025. Atlanta now becomes Etihad’s fifth destination in the U S, joining New York, Chicago, Washington D C and Boston on the airline’s American map.

Flights are operated with Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, suitable for long routes and quieter cabins. For those in Georgia or nearby states, this route avoids the need to connect through major cities like New York. After landing in Abu Dhabi, travelers can quickly move on to flights heading to South Asia or East Africa, which helps avoid long layovers and makes the trip feel more connected.

Abu Dhabi visitors will find calm alternatives to crowded areas, such as Al Hudayriat Island, with public beaches, running tracks and cycling paths, or Al Bateen Waterfront, where fishing boats line the shore beside quiet walking routes. They’re just around the corner. These places sit right inside the city and are simple to get to, offering a glimpse of everyday life in Abu Dhabi without having to push through crowds or follow the usual tourist paths.
