A new Mediterranean tour is packaging Homer’s Odyssey and locations used in Christopher Nolan’s film into a trip across Türkiye and Italy. The route begins around Troy before moving to Sicily and a chain of Italian islands associated with Odysseus’ voyage. It is aimed at wealthy film and history fans, with the headline price placing it far beyond the usual guided tour or island-hopping holiday.

After touring Troy and the nearby Apollon Smintheion with specialists, the group watches a staged account of the city’s fall among the ruins. The programme then shifts to Sicily, taking in Agrigento, Selinunte and the Necropolis of Sant’Angelo Muxaro. Storytelling sessions, private meals and creative workshops accompany the archaeological visits, linking Homer’s poem, Mediterranean history and locations chosen for the film.

Much of the island section would be complicated to organise without private transport. The yacht calls at Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo before continuing to Vulcano, Basiluzzo and Li Galli. Other stops include the Strait of Messina, Vulcano’s thermal areas, the Venus Pools and several coastal caves. The final part reaches Capri and Ischia, with time planned for walks, swimming and sites linked to ancient myths.

Most locations are already open to ordinary visitors, so the bill mainly pays for privacy, coordination and specially arranged events. Anyone interested in the story rather than the full production could plan a shorter trip around Troy and western Sicily, then add one island group by ferry. Customers should request an itemised quotation because flights are excluded and alterations may increase the advertised price.
