Manchester Opens First Verified Net Zero Hotel Near City Landmarks
On May 19, 2025, the Radisson Hotel Manchester City Centre opened as the first Radisson hotel in Manchester and the first in the UK to earn Verified Net Zero status. It’s among the first to hit the 2040 environmental targets set out in the hotel industry’s Net Zero guidelines. The hotel offers 252 rooms and suites designed with Scandinavian influences, incorporating neutral colors and natural materials. Available on-site are a restaurant, bar, outdoor terrace, spa, heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym, and event facilities accommodating as many as 220 people. The layout is intended to accommodate leisure travelers, business visitors, families, and groups.
