LOT Takes Warsaw Travellers to Porto
LOT Polish Airlines has launched direct flights between Warsaw and Porto, adding a second Portuguese destination to its network after Lisbon. The new route started on 25 May 2026 and will operate year-round from Warsaw Chopin Airport. The airline says Portugal remains one of its strongest Western European markets, with Lisbon flights reaching a passenger seat factor above 86% in 2025.
The Porto service will run five times a week in summer and four times a week in winter. LOT says the route fits growing demand for city breaks and leisure travel, especially during the holiday season. Porto adds another option for Polish travellers looking beyond Portugal’s capital, while also supporting tourism and business links between Poland and northern Portugal.
Flight Schedule
The summer timetable runs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays:
- Warsaw to Porto: departs 10:20
- Porto to Warsaw: departs 14:25
- Flight time to Porto: about 4 hours and 5 minutes
- Return flight to Warsaw: about 3 hours and 45 minutes
Tickets are available through LOT’s website, app, Contact Center, Travel offices and other sales channels.
The route makes Porto’s Ribeira district, Douro River views, wine cellars and Atlantic coastline easier to reach from Poland. Visitors can also explore the city’s narrow old streets, waterfront restaurants and quieter residential corners beyond the main tourist areas. Nearby Matosinhos Beach adds surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and SUP options for those who want a coastal break with their city trip.
The new service gives travellers another direct way into Portugal without routing through Lisbon or larger connecting hubs. Porto works well for a long weekend, but also as a starting point for northern Portugal, beach days and Douro Valley trips. For LOT, the route is a clear bet on Portugal’s continued pull for summer travel and shorter European breaks.
