Air France customers connecting through Paris-Charles de Gaulle can now turn a long transfer into a short stay in Paris. The airline has introduced Paris Stopover with Extime Travel, offering bookable accommodation, transport and sightseeing packages between flights. The service can be added on either the outward or return journey, but it is not automatically included with an Air France ticket and must be arranged separately.

How the Paris Stopover Service Works

  • Airline: Air France
  • Connection airport: Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG)
  • Launch date: 22 July 2026
  • Minimum connection: 27 hours
  • Stopover length: One to four nights
  • Eligible cabins: Economy, Premium, Business and La Première
  • Ticket condition: Must include the Stopover option booked through Air France
  • Package deadline: Up to 48 hours before departure
  • Operator: Extime Travel
  • Availability: Subject to capacity
  • Seasonality: No end date announced

Packages combine airport transfers with one or more nights in selected four or five-star hotels in central Paris or at Disneyland Paris. Customers can add activities according to the time available and their interests, with support provided by Extime Travel. Air France has not announced a standard package price, so the total will depend on the hotel, length of stay and experiences selected during booking.

The Paris Must-See package brings the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum and other central landmarks within reach during a connection. Families can choose a stay at Disneyland Paris instead of travelling into the city centre. Future additions are expected to cover food, culture, nightlife and premium experiences, while places closer to Charles de Gaulle could also feature, giving customers alternatives when a central Paris itinerary feels too rushed.

The 27-hour figure is the programme’s minimum qualifying connection, not a guarantee that every itinerary leaves the same amount of sightseeing time. Immigration queues, transfers and the recommended return time for the next flight will reduce the hours available outside the airport. Customers must also meet France’s entry requirements, check how their baggage is handled and confirm the exact schedule before paying for the package.
