London Gets Easier Night Train Links Across Europe
European Sleeper has added London to its connecting-train booking system, allowing passengers to combine Eurostar to Brussels with overnight rail services deeper into Europe. The new option covers Berlin, Prague, Dresden, Hamburg, Milan and Lake Como, with suitable connections shown in one booking flow. London is the first city added to the system, although passengers still change trains in Brussels.
What the New London Connections Include
- Route: London St Pancras–Brussels by Eurostar, then European Sleeper.
- Destinations: Berlin, Prague, Dresden, Hamburg, Milan and Lake Como.
- Booking: Available now through European Sleeper.
- Frequency: European Sleeper’s main routes operate three times weekly in each direction.
- Price example: European Sleeper fares to Berlin start at €49.99, plus a Eurostar Standard ticket from London to Brussels from €51 one way.
- Connections: Transfer times in Brussels are selected by the booking system.
The Eurostar and sleeper legs are issued as separate tickets, so the Brussels connection is not guaranteed. If a delay makes you miss the next train, you may have to buy a new ticket because a replacement is not guaranteed. Choo-Choo handles support for the connecting segment and can help find an alternative. Cancellations are also handled separately, with each ticket subject to its own fare conditions.
The booking tool opens up overnight rail trips beyond Brussels without passengers having to search for compatible trains themselves. The Brussels–Prague sleeper serves Berlin and Dresden, while the Milan service runs through Cologne and Switzerland before reaching Como and Milan. Hamburg is also available through the connected network. Most destinations are reached in central stations, which can make city breaks and multi-stop rail trips easier to plan.
The new feature removes some of the work involved in building a London-to-Europe rail itinerary, but it does not turn the journey into a through-ticket. Anyone travelling for a fixed event or with non-refundable accommodation should look closely at the transfer time and fare conditions before booking. A cheaper connection may be less useful if a delay leaves little room to recover the journey.
