Jet2holidays has relaunched its Bid for a Break initiative, giving UK residents the chance to compete for full-package holidays at low prices. The first round is scheduled from 12 to 19 May 2025 and offers a seven-night stay for two adults and two children at the Ajul Luxury Hotel and Spa Resort in Halkidiki, Greece. Participation can only be done through the Jet2 mobile app.

This year the campaign follows a fixed timetable with new bidding rounds every two months until March 2026. Each round features a single holiday offer and requires users to submit the lowest unique bid to win. Only one winner is selected per round and bids must be placed through the mobile app. Additional rounds will open in July, September, November, January and March.

The destinations available through this campaign include a mix of popular and off-the-beaten-path locations in Europe. Among the featured destinations is Greece’s Halkidiki peninsula, appreciated for its calm beaches, pristine waters, and scenic small towns. Families visiting the area can enjoy both peaceful surroundings and active pastimes, including nature trails and aquatic activities, positioning it as a favourable summer option.

In the upcoming stages, the program will introduce a range of new European destinations for travelers. Locations are chosen based on the availability of leisure infrastructure and a variety of activities suitable for both families and individual travelers during the summer season. These destinations offer diverse options for those seeking either relaxing or active vacations.

The comeback of this program points to a noticeable change in how travel operators are adjusting to shifting consumer expectations. The emphasis on user-friendly digital participation may open new avenues in travel planning, particularly for those exploring lower-cost or alternative destinations. While not everyone will win, the opportunity to bid for a trip can make travel more accessible to a larger audience.
